The vision of the Pretoria West Palliative Care Forum is to create awareness and promote palliative care visibly, in order to alleviate suffering and to provide quality palliative care for all residents living with a life threatening illness within the Pretoria West area.
The goal of the Pretoria West Palliative Care Forum is to combine the expertise and efforts of all member organisations to provide a professional programme of comprehensive palliative care – responding to physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs – dedicated exclusively to patients and their families facing progressive and life threatening illness within the Pretoria West area.

Awareness ribbons forming the letter ‘W’, which represents the people of the Pretoria West area. The different colour awareness ribbons represents the various cancers, HIV/AIDS, other life-threatening diseases and hospice care as follows:

A chain in the colours of the awareness ribbons forms a circle around the letter ‘W’. The chain represents the member organisations of the Pretoria West Palliative Care Forum working together to facilitate the relief of suffering through the promotion and provision of quality palliative care to all in the Pretoria West sub-district.
